Bring On The Projects!

The creative wheels have been turning non-stop around here again. I've been toying around in PhotoShop trying to learn some new stuff. I've also been working on a project this weekend and I've been jotting down step by steps instructions because I'll be putting the project here as a tutorial soon. I'm not going to tell you what it is but I'll give you two hints:

The first hint is that the project itself will be used on the tree I put in my dining room. I've decided the theme for that room and the tree will be a "sweet shop."

The second hint is in the photo above. Those are some of the supplies I've been using.

I have another project in the works in my brain to go on that tree too. I can't wait to see the tree all decorated!

Does anyone else do a theme tree?

  3. Hmmm....candy canes?
I tried to do a silver and white theme one year, but then my granddaughter came along so out came the cutie ornaments I've had forever!

  5. We have a small tree in our dining room every year where we put blown glass (like Old World) food ornaments that we have collected for the last 20 years. We have carrots, onions, hamburgers, peas, asparagus, a hot dog -- you name it! No creativity on my part, but I do love that tree!

I do a theme tree too. After the kids were grown, and most of the ornaments were sent to the kids for their trees, I was able to do my tree...an ocean inspired seashell and nautical tree!

  11. I always collect buttons hoping to use them in a project one day.
No, I'm not decorating any tree, I'm planning on decorating my front entrance a little better though.
