I made up a batch of these for my niece's baby shower a couple weeks ago and as always, they were a huge hit. They are nice to make in the summer when you don't want to heat up the house with your oven. They taste very similar to "Buckeyes" but the textures isn't as creamy because you have the Rice Krispie Cereal to give it some snap. They are delicious!
No Bake Cookies
1 stick butter, room temp
2 cups peanut butter1# powdered sugar
3 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
use dipping chocolate or 8 oz hershey bar and 12 oz choc chips
(I used the chocolate almond bark 24 oz size)
And if my son is reading this post, I still have some safely stashed in the freezer just for you!
Yum! Those would be great any time of year! And great idea for parties :)
ReplyDeleteSher, these look delicious...I may have to give them a try. You know I'm not a baker, so that "no bake" thing intrigues me!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that does sound yummy! Your son's a lucky guy to have some put away just for him!!
ReplyDeleteI think I made something similar to these using chex cereal before. I'll have to try with Rice Krispies. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThese look really good! And I love no-bake recipes too. =) Thanks for the post.

ReplyDeleteThese do look good and are similar to my reeses cup recipe. Now I know I better lose more weight before the holiday goodie making season comes up, cause I just gained 3 pounds looking at the picture! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh man this brings me back to college--I had a roomate who was the Queen of No Bakes and they just killed me.
ReplyDeleteThese look very dangerous! I'm definitely going to give them a try - yum! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great summer treat!
ReplyDeleteThese look like they would just melt in your mouth!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I definitely have to make these! I love baking without actually baking (I love real baking too, but the other way is so much easier). Just yesterday we made monkey bread in the microwave.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the measurement for the powdered sugar?
is that 1 lb of powdered sugar?
DeleteYes, that's one pound of powdered sugar. I always get it in the 2 pound bag so I use half a bag.
