Have you ever made mug rugs? They are so much fun! I thought I'd make a couple so I can list the patterns in my shops, but now I can't stop. All this hand applique I've been doing is nice, but machine applique is so quick.
I have come to a couple of realizations while making these. First, the more you machine applique, the easier it gets and your skills improve very quickly. Second, the soft minty colors are so pretty and make a nice final product, however, they photograph like crap. And thirdly, I'm going to have to get online and order some more bobbins and another bobbin holder. Oh yah, Punnkie helped me make them...
Mug Rugs are very cool! I like that these have a specific purpose, too :) Punkie did a great job helping out :D Zach is my assistant. Machine applique sounds like a winner!
Those are really cute. It's good to have a cute assistant by your side when you're creating
ReplyDeleteReally cute! I agree with Ann about having an assistant. It's great to see your skills improving like that. I hope that the pattern does well.

ReplyDeleteHa! My assistant is my pound puppy. He keeps my feet warm as I craft :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Tux stays at my feet when I sew. But if he's feeling starved for attention, he sits on the pedal.
