What is Red?
What is red? If you look at the photo above, red is the Chicago Bulls wall hanging, the George Foreman Grill, my red sweater, the four votive candles, and my handy dandy clip (I love that thing). Not shown in the photo above is my face, chest, legs, and shoulders. You would think that at 50 years old I would have learned by now. But all it took was one hour in the pool. ONE HOUR! That sun must have been strong. Imagine what would have happened if I would have stayed in there for the rest of the day. I'd probably be a great big blister. Perhaps I should have listened to Brian about 30 minutes in when he said, "you are starting to look a little pink." I said, "no, I'm fine, it's all good."
Well, next time, I WILL use the sunscreen! And I'll admit it, "he was right and I was wrong." Here it is in black and white for all to see.

Oh dear! Hope that sunburn is feeling better today!! I LOVE red, it's my favorite color... But not when it's a painful sunburn. LOL!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Break out the noxema(do they still make noxema?)! I love your other reds.
ReplyDeleteI love red, but not the one on the skin:):) Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI would not have thought that you could get sunburn after 1 hour either. I hope that you are feeling much better!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Hahaha. Poor thing. So sorry you got sunburned. It's the worst, isn't it? You should get some aloe gel or lotion; it really helps:)
ReplyDeleteD'oh! Sorry about the sunburn. Except for sunburn's, red is one of my absolute favorite colors. :)
ReplyDeleteOw! Aloe does wonders for me when I get burned. Hope you feel better soon :)
ReplyDeleteOuch! Yes, Aloe Vera is great!
ReplyDeleteouch! yes, sunscreen. I hate those days where you think you won't really be in the sun and then the sun gets you!
ReplyDeleteI did that a couple weekends ago only I was only out about 1/2 an hour. I was more careful this weekend. Hope the sunburn doesn't hurt too bad
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hate sunburns. I have super pale skin and burn super easily, so I have to take a lot of precautions when I go out in the sun. If its going to be the entire day, I wear a long sleeve, SPF 50 surfing rash guard. It's light weight so it's actually comfortable, even though it is long sleeved.
ReplyDeleteHi Sher, hope you don't suffer too long! Try night swimming for a while. Take care.
