Pet Day - Punkie
Since this is Halloween weekend, Punkie decided that she should be the pet of the week. We have two other black cats in the family but she insists that she is the Queen of black cats for a number of reasons. First, she lives with me, second, she's the oldest and has been around for 11 years, and third, because she's such a good girl. You'll meet the other two at a later time. One lives with my son and the other lives in Heaven now :(
On to Pumpkin! As you can tell by the photo, she goes by many names. For years I called her Kinnie Roonie but Brian (her Dad) likes to call her Chunkie Punkie and the kids call her Plumpkin. But to her defense, she has lost a few pounds and isn't so chunky or as plump anymore.
Punkie, as I like to call her, is the Purrrfect cat (sorry, couldn't help myself). She really is. She doesn't get into anything, she doesn't knock things off tables, she doesn't jump onto anything or go where she doesn't belong.
She has never gone potty outside the litter box. Not once in 11 years! When I take Bubba outside, she will stand by the door but doesn't attempt to go outside. She's also a love-bug. She has a few select people that she will snuggle with. She's so soft too!
She really is the best cat anyone could ever have.

ReplyDeleteSorry Elyse, it's now corrected!
ReplyDeleteYay Plumpkin!

ReplyDeleteMiss you and love you too. Should be home for thanksgiving-less than a month away!
ReplyDeletePlumpkin! hahaha That is perfect! I love black cats, just did a post a few days ago about them. I had my own beloved black cat, so I always thought having a black cat cross your path meant Good Luck. Your quote is funny though! Diane
ReplyDeleteAfter I saw your comment, I had to check out this post tonight. Your cat sounds like such a sweet. Our mostly black kitty Angel lives up to her name but has a lot of other names as well.
ReplyDeleteGreat minds definitely do think alike! It was great to read another black cat post today. Thanks for your sweet comment, too. :)
she is so sweet!!!!!
ReplyDeletePumpkin is so beautiful Sher! I have had 3 black cats, and they were all great kitties. Love the quote ;)
ReplyDeleteI love black cats! She is very beautiful and it's awesome that she is such a sweetie. ~Alicia♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet kitty! Is Plumpkin the inspiration for your new logo?
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a pretty girl. I had a black cat years ago.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty kitty Pumpkin is Sher!! I sure enjoyed meeting her, she sounds like a sweetie pie!! :)
ReplyDeleteShe is a beautiful cat
ReplyDeletePumpkin is a beautiful kitty! Her furs are so shiny! I had a long haired black kitty named Panther who lived to be 18 years old so I have a deep fondness for black kitties. I like the quote too! It's not fair that black cats sometimes have a bad wrap because as you know, they certainly don't deserve it at all!
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious baby! One of our neighbors has a black cat and he waits for the lady of the house to get out of her car. It is so cute.

She sounds like the perfect cat!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart :) I just wanna snuggle her!
ReplyDeleteJust found you on the Blogging Buddies site and had to see what your pet was!
ReplyDeleteAs Grandma to three cats, one of which is Black like yours, called Alfie, with a parent that either met a panther or a Main Coon before producing him. He's massive and dwarfs his other two lady companions, but as the youngest, treats both with the respect both deserve.

Awwwww, she sounds like an absolute doll! Obviously the clear winner for Pet of the Week! ;) My cat is mostly an outside cat, but she's still very affectionate and often hops in my car!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Happy Halloween!
