It's A Gingerbread Christmas!

Since I mentioned that I've been on a major creative streak a couple of my friends have asked me to share some pictures. We'll you asked, and now I shall show!

Remember last year that I came up with the idea to have a Sweet Shop Theme for my dining room? It was cute too. The tree was decorated with nothing but candy and cookie ornaments. Surrounding my tree was a lot of peppermint and other sweets, real and fake. Last year I came up with all the ornaments which are on my blog as free tutorials (link at the top). I also designed the tree skirt and the stockings.

I took it a step further this year with the addition of the gingerbread girl recipe holder, new ornaments, napkin rings, a tree topper, and a garland.

So I can't wait to see my dining room this year! And of course I'll post pictures!

You can make all these items yourself because all these patterns are available at my Etsy Shop, Website, and Craftsy Pattern Shop.

  1. The recipe holder is SO cute...what a fun idea!

  2. I adore the gingerbread-imaginary! The gingerbread girl is too cute!

  3. What adorable gingerbread decorations!! I especially love the napkin holder and the garland and that recipe holder is so cute, what a great idea!! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your dining room. I think it's so fun that you change it up every year.

You've inspired me to create a gingerbread couple out of clay!

  4. What a fun theme! I can't wait to see it all come together.

  5. Yay for gingerbread! Eating and decorating!

  6. I can't wait to see your dining room, too! Those are so so cute!

  7. I love the Gingerbread girl recipe holder, what a cute idea!!! I can't wait to see more fun stuff from you!

  8. These are so adorable. Love them. When you make these do you use regular craft felt or do you use the wool felt

    1. Hi Ann,

I use regular craft felt. I always buy it by the yard when it's on sale or I have a half price coupon. Most of my projects though can be made with the felt squares to make it easier on people.

I'll bet they would be cute with the wool felt too.

  9. Your gingerbread men are too adorable! Of course I love the use of buttons. I can't wait to see your decorated dining room this year and hope that your patterns do well.

  10. ohmy...just too adorable. Your home must be so joyful, warm and festive. Love it!

  11. Adorable is definitely the right word. I love to be reminded that Christmas is so soon!
